Fun in Arkansas!

The weather cooperated on Thursday, and we were able to get out on the lake. The girls got to help Grandpa drive the boat. We also did some hiking near Tanyard Creek.

Grandpa talked the girls into being a part of the Barbershop show on Saturday. They got to walk across the stage as part of the Easter parade!

We've had a wonderful time here this week. It is always fun to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. Back to school on Monday!

Easter Fun!

We were able to celebrate Easter a bit early on Saturday with some fun activities including face painting, an egg toss, games, and of course, an Easter egg hunt! The Easter bunny did manage to find us in Arkansas and bring some goodies for the girls.

Kerstin and her sister had a combined birthday party at one of the local skating rinks.

Instead of receiving birthday gifts, Kerstin asked her birthday guests to bring a new Webkinz toy to donate to Children's Hospital in Omaha.

On Sunday (March 2nd), Kerstin, her Mom, and her Sister, went to Camp CoHoLo's Carnival. There were lots of games to play and food to eat. And of course, face painting.

More 8th Birthday

On Saturday (March 1st), Kerstin helped make her own birthday cake. It was a nice day so we invited some people over and ate cake outside.

8th Birthday

Kerstin turned 8 on Thursday. She woke up to the traditional birthday donut. Her Dad brought her lunch from Long John Silvers to school. Then she chose Valentino's buffet for supper. In addition to a few presents, Kerstin and her sister are having a joint skating party in a couple weeks.

Dance Marathon

Kerstin and her family were recently invited to attend a dance marathon at UNL put on by the students every year to raise money for Children's Hospital in Omaha. The marathon lasted from 8 pm till 8 am. Kerstin and her sister thought they would be able to stay up all night, but fortunately there was a quiet room for them to catch a few hours of sleep. The dancers raised $30,000 for the hospital.
