Recess with friends

Kerstin also got to participate in one of her favorite subjects at school on Friday, RECESS!! She had lots of fun with her friends climbing on the equipment. She whipped across the monkey bars just like the little monkey she has always been (even in a pretty dress). Her classmates were very caring and kind. Thank you Mrs. Swiatek and kindergarten friends for a fun afternoon! (To see all of the pictures, click on the title "Recess with friends")

Merry Christmas to the Leafs!

Kerstin, I am so happy that you were able to go and see your friends at school. I am also glad to see you've got a little monkey in you. Ben will be impressed! I am sure that Santa will be good to you and your sister. You both are such nice girls.

Enjoy this glorious day!

What fun to go see your friends. Friends are the best...now AND when you get old like me! :}

We went to Sidney, IA yesterday and saw the great row of lights up Candy Cane Lane. I was telling the kids that is where you live. They thought that was pretty cool.

Santa was very good to us. His elves must've been MISinformed! I took the "easy" way out with our tradition of making gingerbread houses. I bought the pre-made sets with candy and all. So the three older kids spent the afternoon doing that while Grandma and I whizzed behind them wiping and sweeping before the frosting set to concrete on the counter and floor! They did great!

Merry Christmas. We are praying for you! Tell Grandma and Grandpa Gnuse hi from me.
