4th of July!

Happy Independence Day! We hope everyone had a great, but safe, day! We were blessed with a visit from Grandpa Gordon and Grandma Joann. They can stay for a couple of days! We spent most of the day swimming and hanging out by the pool. We went back home to grill porkchops for supper. Grandpa and the girls did a great job! It was such a beautiful day! After supper we went over to the park to light our parachutes (we made the mistake of lighting them at home last night - some poor parachuter is in his new tree home). The girls had a blast chasing down the parachutes! We lit a few more in the evening and saved some for when it got darker. Unfortunately, Jeff is on duty today, but we had some firework fun with Dad last night!

It has been a while since we have updated (no news is good news!). Kerstin continues to feel great! She did wake up ravenous yesterday morning, ate two bowls of Cheerios, and then slept for 3 more hours! We had Vacation Bible School last week which kept us all busy, but very happy! Kerstin gets to visit Dr. G. on Thursday. We hope for more good news!

Have a blessed week!

Hi there Leaf Family!
Man, Kerstin! Looks like there is a PART in your hair! It looks like you guys had a great 4th, and we are so GLAD that you are feeling so well! Parachutes are one of Emma and Abby's favorite fireworks! They love to chase them in the wide open spaces at out house! Guess there is one good thing about not having great big trees!
Just wanted to stop by and say hi and let you know that we are thinking about you! Be good and take care! ((((hugs to you all!)))

What a fun day it looks like you had -- if those big smiles are any indication!!!

Those parachutes sound like fun. We actually have sparklers left-over so will take care of that situation tonight. The bucket of water is still sitting at the ready.

Thanks for the smiles - we love 'em! xoxoxoxo

Parachutes are the BEST!

I must agree.

Sorry again we could not make the audios to Hawaii dinner... but we will make it up to you sometime and come for a longer visit.
(Maybe we can still eat Valentino's though... huh?)

Thanks again for your call on the 4th. It was fun to talk and paddle.

Ummmmm... as for your very silly question that you posed on the phone.... I fibbed without knowing it when I answered. Call for the details sometime.
