The Pumpkin Run

Yesterday was the Great Pumpkin Run at Pioneers Park in Lincoln. The girls both decided to run this one mile cross-country type race. As you can see in the pictures, Dad got to run with Kerstin. Mom ran earlier with McKinsey. It was a fun run with lots of little hills to run up and down. We were all a bit winded afterwards. I reminded the girls that this was 1 mile and the Team In Training runners go 13 or 26 miles!

We are grateful to see Kerstin happy and running this October. As we approach Kerstin's diagnosis anniversary, we continue to count our blessings. All of you are a big blessing to us!

Have a great week!

Hi Leaf family!
Kerstin is in my daily prayers. I'm so thankful that she has stayed so healthy! What a blessing to see her at church, or to look at your blog, and see her beautiful smiling face with all those curls!
May God continue to bless your family!

Hello Leaf family,
I see that it was one year ago today that Kerstin was diagnosed. I can't imagine all that you have been through this past year, yet through it all you've appeared so positive, confident and assured that all would turn out well, and thank God all has turned out well. You have been an incredible example for all of us in how to trust God in the face of uncertainty and fear. Your family will continue to be in my prayers. I just wanted to 'stop by' and send my prayers of hope, strength and continued good health to you on this special day. It was great to see Kerstin (and all of you : ) at Trunk or Treat last night. What a blessing to have her in our midst, reminding us all that God is certainly still in the business of of performing miracles.
