Chemo takes effect

Kerstin got to go to St. E's on Monday for labs. Her counts are still high. Her ANC was over 2500! We expect that to be dropping soon as the chemotherapy gets to work. She has been feeling really tired the last few days. Today she did a lot of sleeping and not much playing. She has been nauseous and not very hungry and threw up once today. We have noticed that strong food smells make her queasy. McKinsey goes back to school tomorrow. We will miss her at home, but it will be good to get back into the routine again. I know she is looking forward to seeing all her friends. Thanks for stopping by to check on us. Leave us a message if you can! Have a blessed day!

I check on you often Kerstin. We think of you and remember that we got to spend a little time together at the hospital. Hannah is in for 5 days of chemo and gets out tomorrow. We are ALL excited. Hang in there!

Kerstin, my prayer for you tonight is that something will taste good to you tomorrow. Rest up so you feel like playing when McKinsey gets home from school. Take care.

P.S. That was sure a cute "build a bear" you made.

Kerstin,

I hope you are doing well and had a great New Year. We travelled over the break and now are fighting colds. I hope that the "crud" stays away from the Leaf family!

Even though we have not visited in a while, we do check your progress regularly, and we do pray for you each day.

Take care!

Peace,
Pastor Greg, Rose, Emilie and Alex
