Numbers and Colors

Today for "school time" Kerstin worked on counting by 5's and making colors. She picked up quickly on the counting. She had fun using food coloring to identify colors, and make new colors from other colors.

Dear Kerstin,

Not only are you getting the coolest visitors [Dorothy & the tin Man on Halloween, and the Storm Troopers the other night!], but now you're doing the school stuff Casey and Kenna most enjoy, as well! Casey is very good with numbers, and loves to count by 2's and 5's, and Kenna is mixing colors now, too -- her favorite combinations are red & blue and red & white. How about you?

We love you and look forward to hearing more neat stories from you! xoxo, Aunt Sandi

Mixing the colors sounds so fun - I remember doing that with some oil in the cup and the colors made some groovy was cool.
Lots of *hugs*! :)

Hi Kerstin,
It sounds like you had a fun day at school today. Could you teach some of my kids to count by 5s? How did you use food coloring to make colors? That sounds like a neat project. Are your fingers funny colors now?

Hi Kerstin,
Wow! I am glad to hear that counting by 5's was easy for you! Way to go! Mixing colors is what we will be working on after sinking and floating so you are ahead of us in science too! I am happy that school is fun for you! Keep up the super work! The kids sure enjoyed your latest pictures. They all wanted to know if those were the "real" guys off of Star Wars. They sure look like it! Everyone ahhhhed when they saw your cute new haircut! I am glad you are feeling a little better today. I just wanted to say hi and send a hug. Sleep tight! Love, Mrs. Swiatek
